The best thing you can do when you’re looking for something to watch is to play “Anatomy of a Scandal” on Netflix.
If there’s one thing the British know how to do, it’s a scandal. The tabloid format, the newspapers that generally publish gossip and scandals, began and was consolidated in London.
I’ve seen all the elements that make a series good
The TV show has elements that seem essential to any audiovisual plot but are not always well executed. With an exceptional script, photography, and editing, this is a show you can watch in a day.
The plot takes place in London, one of my favorite cities. The locations are breathtaking. “Anatomy of a Scandal,” tells the story of British minister James Whitehouse. The character, played by Rupert Friend, has been married to Sophie Whitehouse for almost two decades. They live happily until the breaking of the news.
The show’s scandal began to develop from James’s extramarital affair with Olivia Lytton. The character, played by Naomi Scott, was an assistant in his office. Looks like we’ve already seen this movie, right? But this is no ordinary scandal.
In the first episode, James tells his wife about his relationship. It’s also when we see the prosecutor Kate Woodcroft for the first time.
Soon after receiving the news about her husband’s affair, Sophie is also informed that the scandal will become public. The next day’s tabloids show James’ infidelity on the front page.
We get to know James and Sophie’s past as individuals and as a young couple during the show. Also, we became intimate with the reasons that led Michelle Dockery, the Lady Mary from Downton Abbey, to accept the case.
Based on Sarah Vaughan’s bestselling Anatomy of a Scandal, the miniseries premiered on April 15 on Netflix. The plot unfolds in six episodes and is worth every second of your attention. I, for example, watched it in two nights.
