I was in Brazil three weeks ago, preparing to launch my first book. I filled my mind and schedule with commitments and expectations in a different time and space than where I am today.

I called my book “Everything Learned in New York City.” I launched with very dear people who did everything they could to be present on a day full of surprises and congratulations.

Launching a book is like having a special birthday party. It’s a day to bring together essential people in your trajectory. It is a time when inspiration needs to override emotion. It’s a self-awareness test. The goal is to write a special note that reflects the joy of sharing a part of you with someone you love.

Launching my trajectory as a writer in Rio de Janeiro, my hometown, where I was born and started to understand myself as part of the world, was incredible. It was also wonderful to share this moment with São Paulo, the city that welcomed me and pushed me to be me for myself.

Launching a book is not the end, but the beginning of a journey that I hope will bring more books, articles, blog posts, and opportunities that I can’t even imagine. Thank you to everyone who was and is part of this trajectory.

PS: at this time, the book is only available in Portuguese. I’m looking for a publisher to launch it in English.
