You should watch Moulin Rouge in New York City

Mar 15, 2022

Anyone who didn’t cry watching Moulin Rouge at the cinema (or on DVD) back in 2001 doesn’t have a heart. Despite being an Aquarius, I’m a melted butter and cried several times and I think you should watch Moulin Rouge Musical in New York City.

Twenty-one years later, I went to see the most bohemian love story on Broadway in New York City. The musical won multiple Tony Awards – including ‘best musical’ – is impeccable.

Classic songs from the film version like “Lady Marmalade,” “Your Song,” and “Children of the Revolution” pulse with recent hits like “Rolling In The Deep,” “Toxic.” The choreography is incredible. I had a special moment with “Single Ladies.”

The live orchestra rocks the cast that sings and dances, spreading the joy! The versatile and detailed scenic design and lighting complete the dramatic tone of the piece.

Moulin Rouge is an exciting musical to watch if you also had a “rouge” phase 20 years ago. You shouldn’t miss it!

When I first arrived in New York City, I got anxious about all the city’s possibilities. It took some time to enjoy all the city’s entertainment. But I must say that if you are coming here, you should take the chance to open up to this plural city!

Living here, I prefer to do this type of program during the winter, when the options for outdoor tours are more limited. I bought my ticket through the SeatGeek app during Broadway Week, which gives discounts of up to 50% per person.
