Your story matters
Jan 31, 2023
Last Saturday, I taught the personal writing workshop “Make your dreams come true.” Every story that came out of that meeting helped the person who wrote it to believe more in the power they have to transform the lives of others. It was the first time I had given this workshop. And I could see the value of that meeting in every comment from my students.
After our time was up, one piece of feedback caught my attention. One of the people who took the course made an Instagram post questioning the value we give to our history. In her words – which I agree with – it is common for us to overvalue the other and underestimate our own journey.
I invite you to reflect on a significant change you have made. Was this change in line with your future goals? Can writing about her inspire anyone?
Inspire someone with your story
The last big change I made was actually a sum of small changes. I left my sedentary lifestyle to working out every day. I also changed my diet and abandoned my old addictions.
Today, my lifestyle is in line with the future I want for myself. When I think about life 20 years from now, I want to be healthy, with the joy of living. I hope my body can accompany me on trips, concerts, races, and all the activities I like today.
I also want my mind to be sharp, so I can continue teaching the art of writing. I wish to remain inspired and encouraged to write books that enchant and transform lives.
When I started posting photos at the gym, I felt ashamed. I still feel shy about it, but someone always reminds me that my photos are a source of motivation. I post photos daily at the gym because my purpose is to inspire happiness and fulfillment.
